"What's good for the earth is good for everyone." says Bill Richmond, project manager at Knobelsdorff Electric Inc. He was speaking of Xcel Energy's commitment to develop these community solar gardens, thus increasing the percentage of green energy available to run our homes and businesses.
Members of the Red Wing Manufacturers Association toured the facility owned by Innovative Power Systems, partners with Xcel Energy, where KEI is doing the electrical installation. The Red Wing Community Solar Garden is on land leased from the Red Wing School District.
Additional information about this tour can be found on the Red Wing Republican Eagle's website. Our thanks to Maureen McMullen for the excellent information about how this community solar garden benefits subscribers, the school and the community, and for reporting on our work in the project.
