Today, I'd like to introduce you to one of our Journeyman Electricians: Brian. Brian has worked as an electrician for 14 years and has been with Knobelsdorff for the past four years. Prior to joining our team, he was trying out different jobs and not finding a place he really wanted to stick with.
When I asked him why he's stayed with KEI for four years, he explained: "I have never worked for a group of guys who are like Knobelsdorff. The electricians are outstanding, and everyone is down to earth. The people I work with day-to-day are awesome. Project managers are easy to work with, I have the best boss I've ever had. The way he looks out for his guys and his employees, it's almost like family."
Keeping Work Interesting
Also, the variety of work keeps Brian excited about each day. He knows he won't be stuck doing the same thing day in and day out. Instead, he finds different opportunities at each job where he can learn and grow his skills. His prior experiences didn't give him as much of an opportunity to fine-tune his skills and become such a well-rounded electrician.
Plus, KEI has shown Brian they are invested in helping him develop his interests, "There have been times when I get really interested in something and want to learn more about it, and Knobelsdorff will send me to classes or help me learn it by working with an employee who can teach it."
Staying Busy on the Job
Beyond the people and the environment, Brian shared how much he appreciates the pace of work at Knobelsdorff. "Being laid off just doesn't happen here. KEI is not even close to running out of work. There's plenty of work available, in all aspects, and there's just so much that these guys do, you don't have to get stuck in a position."
This makes KEI a perfect fit for Brian, because we don't even come close to running out of work, and we have plenty of opportunities for overtime, too. Are you interested in joining Knobelsdorff? We have Journeyman Electrician careers available - and more - apply now:
