Now, I typically feature employees who’ve been with Knobelsdorff Electric for at least a few years, but that’s not the case for today. I’m introducing one of our newest hires, Corey. Corey is our newest controls engineer working out of our Eagan office.
Joining the Knobelsdorff Team
During his first walkthrough of a job site, Corey knew Knobelsdorff was different. He had met me on-site to sign some paperwork, and then we walked through the job. “When Brittney walked me through, I was introduced to everybody by first name. It’s a middle size company, but it operates just like a small company. Everyone was on a first name basis, and I liked that.”
“There’s a lot of demand for controls engineers right now, and I had been on quite a few interviews. With an in-demand position, things like pay and benefits are going to be good pretty much everywhere. But what I was looking for was a company that I wanted to be a part of.
I could tell right away that Knobelsdorff was it. It’s a place that’s growing. It’s a place that wants to find newer and better ways of doing things. When I met Rich, it was clear that he had a drive to put out the best work possible. That’s not something you see everywhere.”
Starting out in our new Eagan office, Corey is enjoying the people and the way the environment is built for concentration. With controls work, it’s important to have a quiet office you can focus in, and that’s what the Eagan office offers.
“I’ve realized there is no micromanaging here. They put a lot of trust in you, and it makes you want to do your best. There’s a lot of people out there in different companies that don’t really care, they just want to get the job done. It’s not like that here. They want people who care about what they’re doing and are willing to work hard.”
